Hi there! Iβm Elke.
Let me tell you a bit about my story.
I've always loved being behind the camera, observing and capturing little details that make up the magical moments in life. I gravitate towards the use of colors, patterns, and natural lighting in my work. Itβs those serendipitous moments that make for the best photographs.
My 20+ years of photography experience spans portraits, headshots, families, newborns, proposals and engagements, couples, fundraiser events, sporting competitions, maternity, musical theater, dance performances, and more. Iβve photographed Olympians, executives of top Silicon Valley companies, former Vice Presidents of the United States, and world-renowned experts in their fields.
While studying Diplomacy and World Affairs at Occidental College, I was the yearbookβs Photography Lead. I then moved to Oxford, England, to pursue my MSc in Digital Media Production. Prior to moving to NYC, I spent 6 years photographing every school event, athletic competition, performance, and high profile parent fundraiser at Castilleja School in Palo Alto, CA. The kids fondly called me the βCamera Lady.β
When my client happily has a set of photographs that reflect their best self, I know that my work is complete. Feel free to reach out with questions or inquiries. I look forward to delivering you memories of beautiful and magical moments.
I am based in NYC, but frequently visit the San Francisco Bay Area. Will happily travel!
Warmly,
ET (βThe Camera Ladyβ)

My Photography Philosophy
Photography is a connector, enabling us to more deeply understand our dynamic world and multiple cultures. Growing up bicultural and bilingual in Spanish, photography has always served for me as a bridge that simultaneously celebrates the differences and acknowledges the similarities among us. The stories contained in each photo have the capacity to evoke an emotional response in everyone, regardless of which language we speak, where we come from, or how we spend our lives. This is one reason why I love photography: visual communication unites us, rather than divides us.
